Mitchell’s popularity is rapidly rising

There isn’t a name in the NBA that is rising more quickly that Donovan Mitchell’s. From his smooth, increasingly polished game on the court, to his loveable persona off it, fans of every team are learning to love “Spida Man.”

Mitchell even inked a shoe deal with Adidas, and they are selling like hotcakes. His latest colorway sold out in less than a minute in some sizes.

With his popularity on the rise, it only bodes well for Mitchell’s chances of making it to the All-Star game. All-star voting is 50 percent fan voting, 25 percent player voting, and 25 percent media voting. We already know that his peers love him, but now it appears that the public’s opinion is being swayed as well.

Even popular video games have Mitchell rising in the rankings. NBA 2K20 has Mitchell ranked as the 16th best player on the game, firmly entrenched among past NBA All-Stars like Klay Thompson, Kemba Walker, Jimmy Butler, and Blake Griffin.

People are beginning to “take note” of Mitchell’s game and his future potential. The brand that he is establishing is part of what will catapult him from borderline All-Star to a player capable of notching multiple All-Star game appearances under his belt.
