Louisville football: 2019 game-by-game predictions

As the 2019 Louisville football season approaches, Big Red Louie writers give their game-by-game predictions and break down how they think the season will pan out.

It’s tough to remember a season that was more difficult to predict than that of a bottom-dwelling Louisville football in 2019.

After an abysmal showing in 2018, the Cards were voted dead last in the ACC conference at the ACC Kick-off by the various ACC media members.

The Cards are looking to rebound, and so are the Big Red Louie site experts. After totally buying into the Bobby Petrino hype train, Jacob (10-2) and Presley (9-3) had a hard time figuring out where the losses would come in 2018. Never have we been so wrong.

To be fair, tons of bright, intelligent football minds pegged the Cards as ACC Atlantic contenders. Still, we thought that this year it would be a great idea to include some of our contributors to get a full spectrum of opinions.

Louisville’s bounceback attempt will be a tough one. The Cardinals’ schedule in 2019 is as tough as they come. With the potential for five or more ranked teams awaiting them, the Cards will have to take advantage of some easier games early before the going gets extremely tough.

To break down each game during the 2019 season and take our best stab at the outcomes, a variety of Big Red Louie writers and contributors chipped in. The results may surprise you.
