Eastern Kentucky

DJ:  Eastern Kentucky should be a cakewalk. No need for in-depth analysis. Louisville will gain some confidence and roll through the FCS competition.

Louisville 48, EKU 13 (1-1)

Will: Just a short 5 days after the showdown with Notre Dame, the Cards will be looking to bounce back against an FCS Eastern Kentucky team. Last season the Colonels played two FBS teams, Marshall & Bowling Green. Their biggest margin of defeat was only 16. I think we see the Cards new regime start to work in week 2, but it’s a little closer than we all would like.

Louisville 31, Eastern Kentucky 17 (1-1)

Alan: Fans finally get a peek at Louisville’s tuned-up ground game, featuring the one-two punch of Hassan Hall and Javian Hawkins as the Cards jump all over Eastern Kentucky from the opening kickoff.

Louisville 45, EKU 10 (1-1)

Presley: September 15th marks the one-year anniversary of Louisville’s last win. As horrifying as that is, EKU is as close to a lock for a win as you can get in college football in 2019.  The local flavor at EKU should lead them to give a little extra effort and pull out all of the stops. However, the talent discrepancy is far too wide for this to even be a game at halftime, and the Cards end their 51-week winless streak.

Louisville 49, EKU 12 (1-1)

Ethan: It’s safe to say that much like the beginning of the Strong Era in Louisville, the first win of the Satterfield era will come against EKU after a valiant effort at home in the 1st week. Louisville is just quite simply far more talented than EKU and should win this game without much trouble. This should be a good confidence booster for the team and quarterback Jawon Pass.
