Virginia

DJ: Virginia is a favorite to win the costal division in the ACC. Virginia had a phenomenal year for their standards, going 8-5, but I feel this game will be a trap game for Virginia as they overlook Louisville. This game will be closer than we expect. Virginia still wins, but not in blowout fashion.

Louisville 17, Virginia 20 (2-6)

Will: The road doesn’t get much easier for Louisville football after their date with Clemson. Every remaining opponent on the schedule appeared in a bowl game last season. The Virginia Cavaliers are coming off one of their most successful seasons in school history. They finished at 8-5 in 2018 and wrapped it up with a 28-0 dominant performance in the Belk Bowl against South Carolina. I see our Cards being beat up after the Clemson loss and just not having enough to take UVA down at home.

Louisville 13, Virginia 27 (3-5)

Alan: Coach Satterfield’s team explodes in this face-off. With a balanced attack, Malik Cunningham gets the majority of the reps as Louisville pulls the upset.

Louisville 38, Virginia 27 (4-4)

Presley: The Cards are likely to host back-to-back quasi-ranked teams in Cardinal Stadium. Most Cards fans appreciated that the yearly inter-divisional foe upon joining the ACC was Virginia. However, the Cavs are starting to become a real threat under Bronco Mendenhall. Bryce Perkins returns at quarterback, where he is more than servicable as a mobile passer, and nearly hit 1,000 yards on the ground in 2018.  It’s tempting to say that Louisville could spring the upset, but Virginia’s stout defense is what gives me pause. Cards pull ahead in the first half, but the defense holds and Virginia’s talent takes over in the fourth quarter.

Louisville 23, Virginia 37 (4-4)

Ethan: I’m going to be honest here, Louisville’s schedule is just brutal. It’s gonna be a tough second half of the season guys. Virginia is going to have quite possibly their best team in a long time this year, and they have already given us fits ever since we joined the ACC for some reason – and unfortunately we are in the middle of one of our toughest rebuilds in a long time. Cards drop their second in a row at home here.

Louisville 20, Virginia 33 (4-4)
