Earl Clark

Earlsanity part II?

There’s a possibility of Louisville snagging Earl Clark, who was a star at Louisville playing alongside of Terrence Williams during the late 2000s before going on to have a successful NBA career.

A bit of ahead of his time, Clark was a hybrid, combo forward who became a valuable 3-and-D wing for the likes of the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

After spending the first five years of his career in the NBA, Clark appeared in the NBA Developmental League, China, Turkey, Budapest, and still plays overseas with San Pablo Burgos, where he recently signed a new deal.

It’s been a while since Louisville fans were blessed with the chance to see E5 in action, but videos like this show that the 6’10, 235-pound forward still has it.

If he were to join the Louisville pro affiliate, he would certainly be one of the best players on the team and pairing him with the likes of Peyton Siva, Kyle Kuric, and Luke Hancock would give the team a dynamic scorer, rebounder, defender, and another versatile ball handler.

Since leaving Louisville, Clark hasn’t had much interaction with the program (that I can remember) but the grand prize of $1 million can change things pretty quickly.
