Gethro Muscadin – Center

Louisville, KY

The local flavor continues with big man Gethro Muscadin, who picked up a scholarship from the Lousiville basketball program this past week before attending Louisville Live. The Kansas product, who now calls Louisville home playing at Aspire Prep, is another recent addition to the Louisville big board.

Chris Mack and Louisville have been into practice several times over the last few weeks to check in on the four-star big man, and have scheduled an unofficial visit to campus this week according to CardinalSports.com recruiting guru Jake Weingarten.

At 6’10, Muscadin is a versatile big man who has the ability to score from just about anywhere on the floor – a trait that makes him a perfect fit for the four-in-one-out system of Chris Mack. He’s athletic, long, and a promising defender, who could be an anchor for the Cards at center down the road.

He still has a bit to go in his overall development, and would probably be a contributor later rather than sooner, but with programs like Kansas, Texas Tech, Memphis, and plenty others knocking on his door, it’s not hard to see why Mack is making him a priority.

With Steven Enoch exhausting his eligibility at the end of the season, Malik Williams and Aidan Igiehon will be the only bigs left on the roster for Mack next season. Muscadin would provide a ton of value and would be a very promising three to four year player for Louisville should he commit.
