Feed Javian Hawkins

There’s a star in the backfield for the Louisville Cardinals. That guy is Javian Hawkins, who is15th in the entire nation with 562 total yards rushing this season.

If somebody would’ve told you that through the first half of the season, mainly the non-conference part of the schedule, that Hawkins would have more rushing yards than Clemson’s Travis Etienne or Ohio State’s Master Teague, you’d probably call them crazy. But that’s exactly what’s happening in the Ville.

Hawkins has gone over 120+ yards rushing three of Louisville’s five games. He’s on pace for a historic season in comparison to all past Louisville running backs.

Wake Forest has given up 100+ yards rushing to a running back in two of five games. The only ones where they didn’t: North Carolina, who had a 96-yard rusher and against Elon and Rice. Elon is an FCS team and Rice is 0-6 in 2019.

Hawkins very well could be the best player on the field Saturday, the Cards will need him be involved early and often for their offense to be what it was this past Saturday.
