You should still feel good about this Louisville football team

Sometimes a 35 point home loss that takes your team to 4-3 can have you feeling down. But this one shouldn’t.

This Louisville team has already won more games than Las Vegas thought they would win this season and they’re just a little over halfway through. There are guys on this Louisville team like Javian Hawkins, Dez Fitzpatrick, Monty Montgomery, Russ Yeast and numerous others that have you excited to watch this Louisville football team every Saturday.

Playing Clemson is an experience unlike any other. That top tier in college football has flat out separated itself from the others. That’s why they have the College Football Playoff versus the NCAA Tournament. When it comes to down to it, those teams that show their dominance week in and week out should be placed in a class of their own. By the end of the season, they literally are.

This kind of game usually results in a lot of guys being banged up and morale being low. Louisville has to bounce back as quickly as possible. They play five more winnable games, but those games are also lose-able. Nothing will be impossible but nothing will be free.

One day, Scott Satterfield will have the Louisville football program back where they were in 2016. At a place where they can compete with Clemson for 60 minutes with a ton on the line. But be patient until then and enjoy the process, it’s impossible to say that this season so far hasn’t been enjoyable.
