Can this Louisville team finish games?

Last year’s Louisville team had a very successful season. They followed a very disappointing 2017-18 campaign with a never in doubt NCAA tournament berth.

But last season could’ve been so much better. Blown leads against Marquette, Florida State and of course the infamous Duke game, drastically hurt Louisville’s seeding and overall trajectory for the season.

Louisville had a way about them in 2018 of putting together a really good 30 minutes of basketball. You never knew when the bad 10 minutes were coming, but you figured they were.

Playing a complete game is something coach Mack has preached all offseason. He’s put a constant emphasis on finishing. As his team’s chemistry grows, those crucial late-game mistakes should fade. With the depth that Louisville features, Mack should be able to find five guys that have it on any given night to be able to finish games.
