Will Jordan Nwora live up to the hype?

Jordan Nwora enters this basketball season with higher expectations than maybe any Louisville Cardinal of this decade. His odds to win the Naismith Player of the Year award are the best of a Louisville Cardinal to start the season since Russ Smith. He was projected to be the best player on a team that was coming off of a national title run.

Nwora is a guy who experts see as not only the best player on this Louisville team but possibly in the ACC or country.

It wouldn’t have shocked anyone if Jordan decided to make the jump to the NBA after last year. He was projected to be a late first-rounder, but he felt that could be improved upon.

His range is limitless, his athleticism jumps off the screen and he’s the definition of a bonafide scorer. If there’s one thing Jordan Nwora does, it’s put the ball in the basket. 17 a game felt like a lot last year, but I think you can expect something in the 21-24 range this year.

Nwora has gotten better every single season at UofL. If he does it again, this team could be one we remember forever.
