Jamie “Greedy” Vance – Cornerback

247 Sports: 3-star – National ranking: 605, CB ranking: 46, Louisiana ranking: 26

If the crystal ball predictions from 247 Sports tell us anything, it’s that Louisville football could be on the verge of landing another commitment in the coming days – this one from three-star cornerback Jamie “Greedy” Vance.

The former Arkansas commit recently decided to reopen his recruitment considering the struggles the program has had this season, and Louisville is the program who seems to have prioritized the talented corner.

Since decommitting from Chad Morris and the Arkansas Razorbacks program that seems to be falling apart more and more every week, Vance has already taken an official visit to Louisville and gotten to spend more time with the coaching staff which explains the spike in crystal ball predictions. With Bryan Brown needing to recruit one if not two cornerbacks in the class of 2020, landing Vance would go along way in helping the Cards shore up their future secondary.

Vance is an extremely talented corner, who is known for his ability to cover one-on-one due to his speed and athleticism. At 5’10, Vance has decent size and possesses really good length which helps with covering bigger receivers, but he’ll have to put some weight on to play well at the college level, seeing he’s only at 155 pounds.

The New Orleans, LA product holds offers from Auburn, Arizona State, Virginia, Kansas, and a handful of other power five schools but it seems at this point that he’s Louisville’s to lose. The Cards have a need at corner with Cornelius Strughill and P.J. Mbanasor graduating after the season, and with some of the struggles of finding players to fit the system of Brown’s defense.

Vance would be a huge addition to the class and would pair well with Zay Peterson and Josh Minkins who both appear set to play safety for Louisville in the future.
