Dorian Etheridge

Louisville’s offense has outperformed the defense this year, there’s no secret about that. But the defense came to play on Saturday night, holding NC State to just 20 points and going two full quarters of gameplay without giving up even a field goal.

Dorian Etheridge was huge against the Wolfpack, as he’s been all season. Dorian has had at least seven tackles in five games this season. The junior from West Virginia has been a starter on this defense for almost three full seasons now and he plays like it.

In a game that Louisville desperately needed to win, Etheridge had his best performance of the year. He had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and his first career interception.

This performance earned him ACC linebacker of the week honors. He’s been productive stopping the run and pass. Who knows where this Louisville defense would be without his persistent excellence.
