Will Louisville act as they’ve already won six games?

Louisville being bowl eligible with two games remaining is something that preseason wise, seemed inconceivable. But if you watched this team all season, it’s not surprising at all.

Louisville has an offense that features some of the nation’s best wide receivers and a top 15 running back. They also have an incredible coach and a defense who seems to be constantly improving. At this point, it would be shocking if this team finished with six wins.

Louisville still has the opportunity to avenge an embarrassing 31 point loss to Syracuse last season and a chance to win in Lexington against arch-rival Kentucky.

This coaching staff has given you zero reasons to think that this team is satisfied with where they are at. It’s very important to keep the momentum and to go into this bowl game feeling great about how the team is playing. Scott Satterfield as always is focused on this week and this week only. But the nation has noticed the remarkable job he’s done at UofL in year one:

Six wins was the goal for Louisville football this year. They’ve achieved that, but the bar only gets higher. Louisville has won at least seven games in eight straight seasons before last year. They even won eight or more games in every season from 2012-2017.

The Cardinals have been really good this season, which is what we’ve seen from Louisville football for almost all of this decade. They’re back to being bowl eligible, now let’s see if they can get back to eight wins.
