How many players will enroll early?

Part of the actual sensibility that comes along with the NCAA’s early signing period is that it gives players an opportunity to go to school early and get a head start on their degree, and have a chance to see the field early on.

With two and three-a-days a thing of the past, the more time and experience that a freshman can garner under college head coaches in a college strength and conditioning program while acclimating to a new lifestyle, the better.

For example, true freshman Evan Conley was an early enrollee in Louisville’s 2019 class and that paid immediate dividends.

All indications point towards a lot of new players enrolling at UofL within the next few weeks. As far as we know so far, the following players plan on enrolling early, according to Jody Demling of Cardinal Authority:

Timothy Lawson, Tee Webb, Braden Smith, Marvin Dallas, and early enrollees Jamel Starks and Ja’Darien Boykin.

Additionally, Satterfield has said on multiple occasions that he expects a ton of players to enroll early and commented that “more than half” of this class will likely be early enrollees.

Eighteen is a ton, and that would be a massive head start for the Cardinals moving into the 2020 season.

If Louisville lands who they expect and things go to plan, the Cards could be in for a similar year of growth.
