Louisville basketball heads north to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a pivotal ACC matchup.

Louisville basketball ended their brief two-game skid with a 74-58 win over Miami on Tuesday night, thanks to Jordan Nwora’s 19 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cards (12-3, 3-1 in the ACC) travel up to South Bend, Indiana for a Saturday showdown with the Fighting Irish. Mike Brey’s squad is once again banged up, but we’ve grown accustomed to Brey doing more with less. While lacking depth, Notre Dame presents a very difficult for challenge behind their double-double machine of a big man in John Mooney and the combination of guards in TJ Gibbs, Prentiss Hubb, and Dane Goodwin.

Notre Dame (10-5, 1-3 in ACC) is coming off a 68-73 road loss at North Carolina State on Wednesday after leading by as many as 12 points.

This will be the 40th all-time meeting between the two programs, with Louisville leading the series 24-15 and having won the last four meetings. The last time these two teams met in South Bend, the Cards came away with an 82-78 2OT victory in January of 2018.

Here are three bold predictions for when the Cards square off against the Irish on Saturday.
