Jordan Dingle – Tight end

Bowling Green, KY, three-star

The number one position of need for the 2021 recruiting class in my mind is without question the tight end spot. Louisville enters 2020 without a true “tight end” on the roster as Jordan Davis and Ean Pfeifer both have graduated. However, they do bring back the ACC’s leader in touchdowns at the position and emerging star Marshon Ford as well as a slew of other players who either have experience playing, i.e. Isaac Martin and Tobias Little, or have the potential to develop into a productive player like Dez Melton (redshirted last season), Desmond Daniels, or Daune Martin (both incoming freshmen).

That’s what makes Jordan Dingle, another local product, the top player on the board in the class of 2021. If you’ve kept up with Louisville’s recruiting you’re probably familiar with the 6’4, 230-pound tight end out of Bowling Green. Scott Satterfield and staff quickly made him a priority not only for the 2021 class but during the recruiting cycle for eligible seniors, showing just how high they are on him.

Dingle holds offers from a variety of power five schools including Ohio State, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina and is one of the fastest rising prospects in the country. He’s a big kid with a college-ready body, who not only excels in catching the ball and making plays but also as a blocker. As a junior at Bowling Green high school, he totaled 35 receptions for 474 yards and five touchdowns and had an incredible 13.5 yards per catch average on the season, showing his ability to make plays down the field.

He has visited campus on numerous occasions as the staff has taken advantage of his location, and most recently took part in the second junior day event held for top prospects. Louisville has made him a priority for quite some time now and even as bigger schools come calling I think that’s going to be a huge part of his recruitment.

Marshon Ford is both the present and the future for the Louisville Cardinals at the tight end position, but getting a guy like Dingle in the fold will allow Satterfield and tight ends coach Stu Holt to run their offensive scheme exactly the way they like it with elite talent at both spots.
