Jordan Nwora and Dwayne Sutton

One of the best pure shooters and scorers in school history returned to school and is leading the ACC in scoring? How dreamy.

Nwora has received his fair share of criticism at points this season, but let’s not take his time with the Cards for granted any longer. Nwora has the highest points scored (37) by any ACC player in a single game this season and has improved statistically in most major categories.

He has also been increasingly clutch against stiffer competition. Most recently, he was a huge part of Louisville’s big wins at Duke and over defending national champions Virginia. Pair Nwora’s play with Dwayne Sutton and Louisville basketball has one of its best forward tandems in school history.

Sutton’s stat line will never do him justice, but he is currently Louisville’s leading rebounder and third-leading scorer. Chris Mack has shown us time and time again via his words just how much he loves having Dwayne Sutton. Whether it was calling him a “dog”, a warrior, or asking why he didn’t have 13 Dwayne Suttons, Chris Mack has set the tone on what it means to love unconditionally.

If there’s one thing to absolutely love about the Cards on Valentine’s Day 2020 and beyond, most fans would but Sutton’s play at the top of their list.
