Louisville basketball is still in on two big-time names that could reclassify to the class of 2020. But who would the Cards rather land?

Most Louisville basketball fans view the Cardinals 2020 recruiting class so far as one of the only negatives of the Chris Mack era to this point.

Though Louisville was in on, and even the favorite to land, some of the biggest names in the 2020 class, the Cards missed out on most of the big-name players they went after.

The result is following up a massive 2019 class with two freshmen who are relatively unknown by Cards fans and JUCO stand-out Jay Scrubb, who is signed but still weighing his NBA options.

2020-21 is not a wash by any means. Louisville will likely return a core of young talent, and the coaching staff is high on a number of players who haven’t gotten in or have barely seen the floor this season.

The other good news is that Louisville basketball still has a few open scholarship spots depending on who stays in who chooses to leave after the season.

The Cardinals will obviously stay tuned into the graduate transfer market, and there’s a good chance that a new one-time transfer rule will be in effect starting next season, and that could really open up Louisville’s options.

However, Mack and his staff are still going hard after two 2021 players who both look poised to reclassify and play college basketball next season.

High school juniors Zion Harmon and Khristian Lander are two of the more highly sought-after players in the 2021 class as it is. But given their skillsets, there are a number of college teams that could utilize Lander and Harmon starting next year.

Louisville looks like it could be in the driver’s seat to land at least one of these talented guards, but which one should Cards fans really want?

Let’s take a look at what each player brings to the table.
