Louisville basketball hosts North Carolina with a chance to take another step towards an ACC title. We have three bold predictions for the Cards and the Tar Heels.

After a rough stretch, Louisville basketball bounced back in a major way on Wednesday by defeating Syracuse.

Cardinals fans felt that their team had let an ACC title out of its grasp after two consecutive losses last week. However, they woke up on Thursday morning to a shocking Duke loss, and once again sole possession of first place in the conference.

There’s much to work on still, and next up could be either the best or worst team in the conference to do just that against- And believe us when we say that we aren’t too sure if North Carolina and its fans know which that will be either.

On one hand, North Carolina seems to be showing some improvement. The Tar Heels were up big-time against Duke, only to fall in an epic overtime clash. They led until the very last seconds against Notre Dame, Virginia, and Boston College. The Heels haven’t given up despite a 10-16 record on the season, they just haven’t had what it takes to make that one final play to seal the deal.

On the other hand, UNC has just been flat out bad in some games this season. The Duke collapse was unfathomable, and their subsequent loss to Wake Forest was downright ugly.

Still, Louisville basketball should expect a test when North Carolina visits the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday.

We have three bold predictions as the Cardinals put the finishing touches on pre-game preparations.
