Louisville basketball: Five 2021 recruits you need to know
Chris Mack and the Louisville basketball are looking to haul in a group of stars in the 2021 class. We have five names that should be on your radar.
The class of 2020 did not go as well for Louisville basketball as many fans expected. After a 2019 class deemed the “Super Six,” Cardinals supporters were hoping to reel in some big fish for next season.
However, head coach Chris Mack and his staff found that the life of competing against fellow blue bloods for the highest tier recruits is extremely difficult.
Still, Louisville will bring in a few key role players in the class of 2020, which may make way for a monster class in 2021.
After a 2020 class where it felt like a ton of teams were competing for only a few big names, Louisville could stand more to gain in 2021 where there is a lot of star power at the top.
Mack got a head start on the 2021 class, visiting and offering a number of top 50-100 players prior to the finish of the previous recruiting cycle.
After getting burned on a number of recruits in the last class, Mack has placed the onus on assuring he locks down the guys he wants early on.
Louisville already has a commitment from quickly-rising star Bryce Hopkins, and the Cardinals are going to be going after a guard, and badly need a big man in this class as well.
Let’s take a look at five big-name players Louisville fans are going to want to pay close attention to as we near official visit season for the 2021 recruiting class.
