What will Louisville basketball’s roster look like in 2020? We take our first stab at predicting who returns.

One could say that the Louisville basketball season is in the books.

While most of us are gradually coming to accept that the unknowns of the 2020-21 season will never be answered, others are clinging to the hope that we can get some basketball in sooner than later.

In all seriousness, we can- and will- reflect on this past season over the spring and summer months, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look forward to next season as well.

This offseason will be unprecedented. It will be long, it will be painstaking, and there will be a constant reminder of reality, given that sports will cease to exist for an unknown period of time. This will not only impact us but also players.

Most likely, this will be the first offseason where student-athletes are able to make a one-time transfer, which could potentially be tempting for student-athletes across the country- Louisville basketball players included.

Additionally, given the state of the country with many self-quarantining, recruiting in-person off-limits indefinitely, and the prospects of beginning the season on time up in the air, things could go off the walls in an unprecedented way.

There will be more time to speculate as things progress, but for now, we are here to take a look at the prospects of players staying or leaving heading into the 2020-21 season.

Let’s take a look at the current Cardinals.
