Louisville basketball is entering a season of uncertainty in 2020-21. But, if the season started today, who would be the Cards’ starters?

It was a crazy finish to the season for Louisville basketball, but the uncertainty is only just beginning for the future of the roster.

What we do know is that the Cardinals lose a lot. They lose veterans Ryan McMahon, Steven Enoch, Dwayne Sutton, and Fresh Kimble along with star All-American forward Jordan Nwora.

There’s also uncertainty pertaining to potential future star Jay Scrubb. The Louisville native and JUCO stud is signed with the Cardinals, but he is still eyeing his NBA dreams.

While it’s unusual for players to go straight from JUCO to the league, Scrubb seems to fit what a lot of teams want in the league.

Louisville also has two roster spots open to transfers or graduate transfers.

There’s a lot of uncertainty, but what we do know is who is likely to return from the season prior, and for the sake of trying to figure out what this team will look like we are operating under the (bold) assumption that Scrubb will be a part of this team.

Let’s take a look at the first edition of what we think the Louisville basketball roster would look like if the 2020-21 season started today.
