Louisville basketball has two new names to add to the big board. Who the new targets are and what kind of impact they could provide in 2020.

Despite the ongoing self-distancing and quarantining going around both the United States and the world, college basketball coaches are still having to plan out their rosters for 2020-21. That includes Chris Mack, who currently has three more spots to fill out his roster for Louisville basketball.

Louisville will lose a ton of experience next season with four seniors and two juniors departing this offseason and it seems Chris Mack is trying to avoid a “rebuilding” type season by adding experienced players via the transfer portal.

But it seems each day new names emerge and trying to keep up with who the Cards are pursuing is becoming more and more difficult as the list lengthens. Louisville’s priority seems to be finding eligible graduate-transfers to fill the open holes, but with a deep roster as is and the potential for new rules, Mack has targeted a few “sit-out” transfers as well.

Things are constantly changing as more players flood to the transfer portal, but for now, we’ve detailed four new players who have recent connections to Louisville basketball
