Most prognostications have Louisville football‘s over/under set between 6.5 and 7. Can the Cards keep things rolling and build on its 2019 win total?

Around this time of year, as we typically return our attention to the Louisville football offseason, professionals around the college football landscape begin to take stabs at what the future could hold for next season.

This year, given the current landscape around the world and lack of sports, those setting sports futures betting lines, and analysts trying to get a grasp on what the 2020 season will look like have already began putting out their over/ under numbers for the coming season.

As has been the case, most sportsbooks have Clemson leading the way with 11.5 over/under win total.

But where do the experts put the Cards? Louisville finished last season with 8 wins- Well over where most projected them in Scott Satterfield’s first season (many had them at o/u 3.5).

However, plenty of experts think that Louisville could stand to regress from its win total in 2019. Though our friends over at Action Sports have not released any official over/under totals yet, Draft Kings places the Cards’ number at 6.5. Meanwhile, David Hale of ESPN revealed his numbers with Louisville at 7.5.

The general consensus has been Louisville’s over/under win total falling around 7. But, is this number accurate, are the Cards being overlooked again heading into the 2020 season?

We have three reasons why Louisville football could regress in 2020 and three reasons why the Cards could improve.
