Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell could be headed elsewhere this offseason. Here are three potential landing spots for the 2020 All-Star.

The Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell shook up the NBA landscape when he put his squad on his back during his rookie year en route to the Western Conference semis. Since then, the Jazz went back to the playoffs during his sophomore campaign and were well on their way during Mitchell’s third year- One that saw him make his first All-Star Game appearance.

Things turned quickly for Mitchell and the Jazz in 2020 when teammate Rudy Gobert became the first professional athlete to test positive for the Coronavirus. Subsequently, Mitchell, who is close with Gobert, tested positive only two days after his fellow 2020 All-Star now infamously touched every reporter’s recording device after a postgame interview.

Since then, much has surfaced about a feud between Mitchell and Gobert stemming from Gobert’s irresponsible actions. There was apparently a bit of tension between the two leading up to the dispute, but the situation may have sent Mitchell over the edge.

Mitchell was reportedly extremely angered and many close to the situation have called the it “unsalvageable.”

Both Mitchell and Gobert are nearing contract seasons, and while Mitchell is a budding star in the league, perhaps a trade is enticing for the Jazz front office while his stock is still incredibly high.

If that’s the case, here are three potential landing spots for Mitchell that could yield some fun results on the court.
