Lineup no. 2

G – David Johnson
G – Samuell Williamson
F – Jae’Lyn Withers
F – Quinn Slazinski
C – Malik Williams

Johnson, Williamson, and Williams will have to replace the production that the Cardinals lost last season. Unless there are some key developments from now until the start of the 2020 season, this will be the core.

In this lineup the Cards would slide the raw former four-star recruit Withers down to the three spot with rising sophomore Quinn Slazinski at the three and Williamson at the two, giving them a ton of size on the floor

Withers would be a tall small forward, but could be athletic enough to handle any of those potential matchups, while using his length to present problems for smaller players.. The ability to handle smaller guards will be the key to this lineup. As long as these guys are athletic enough to do so, Chris Mack has the ability to play a tall lineup.

As we’ll likely see in 2020-21, senior Malik Williams will be forced to play a ton of minutes with only Aidan Igiehon behind him. In this lineup, Williams would be the anchor and primary rebounder and would also give Louisville a legitmate scorer inside.

This is the big man player option. No team should outrebound this lineup. A lower probability than the first, but could be very fun to watch.
