Cleveland Browns

Pick no. 10

Maybe the most talked-about franchise over the last couple years, the Cleveland Browns are looking to complete their ascent from perennial bottom-dweller in the league to a true contender.

The Browns have all of the pieces in place. Now it’s a matter of solidifying their roster in the trenches, and things could get very interesting in a hurry. They are solid on the defensive front with Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon, and on offense, they just added Jack Conklin on the right side.

Now, Cleveland is a consistent left tackle away from being a true fortress on the offensive line and becoming a real threat to the league.

This team has an embarrassment of riches on offense. Quarterback Baker Mayfield runs the show, and all-pro running backs Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb form a ridiculous backfield. Mayfield has an unreal collection of weapons in Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, David Njoku, and newly acquired tight end Austin Hooper.

The Browns are building a fantasy football team on a real-life roster, but it means nothing if they don’t have time to operate or can’t find holes on the line.

That’s where having a talent like Becton comes into play. The Browns need to win now, and Becton can bring that as a force on the edge right away, but they also need to solidify their future. Anything other than a draft pick is just a quick-fix option, and Becton is among the most enticing linemen to enter the league in a few years.

This feels like less likely of a scenario than the Giants, but as far as a fun team to watch, Becton blocking for that bevy of talent would be extremely enticing.
