Corey Kiner

5’10/205 lbs (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Kiner is arguably the top prospect on the 2021 recruiting board for Louisville; the top-10 running back nationally comes in as the 166th-best overall recruit according to the 247Sports Composite.

After a virtual tour with Louisville’s coaching staff on April 15th, he set his commitment day for July 4th. Louisville sits in a good position for Kiner but must compete with Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State for his services.

He has a confirmed 4.7s 40 time, which doesn’t scream excitement, but Kiner makes up for it in a variety of ways. Last season he exploded for 2,298 yards on the ground and found the endzone a staggering 40 times.

Regarding Kiner, here’s what 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu said:

"“Thickly built with a compact frame. Runs hard and shows good balance and ability to break tackles.Shows burst and accelerates quickly when he gets the ball. Does a good job of quickly finding lanes as well and runs with little hesitation. Has solid change of direction and ability to cut. Not a back that will make as many defenders miss as he will run through arm tackles. Play speed is better than timed or measured speed at this point. Has done well as a return man as well at the high school level. Must continue to work on his top end speed and polish pass-catching skills, but projects as a productive, starting back at the Power Five level and someone who will have an opportunity to play beyond college.”"

It will be an uphill battle for Kiner, but the Cincy native could be in line to be one of the next Louisville greats and would be a crown jewel for the 2021 class.

Outside of Travion Ford, there may not be a more important recruitment for Satterfield, but he and his staff have done everything possible to put the Cardinals in a good position.
