Nick Vattiatio

DUAL – Fort Lauderdale, FL

It is unclear how hard Louisville is truly recruiting Nick Vattiato at the moment, but if they decide to take two signal-callers in this class, he would be a good complementary option. The 5-foot-11 Fort Lauderdale, Fl. native is ranked as the 47th-best dual-threat quarterback in the 2021 class (247Sports); he is currently the 1138th-best player regardless of position and holds offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, South Florida, Wake Forest, and others.

Vattiato visited Louisville’s campus in June and has expressed his liking to the coaching staff. He told 247Sports’ Cardinal Authority, “The facilities are very nice and the coaches were all welcoming. They all said that I did a great job at camp.”

Despite being undersized and only weighing 169 lbs, Vattiato possesses a ton of qualities that translate successfully to the next level. He often displays a gunslinger mentality, with the arm strength to support it. He also has shown extreme accuracy both in the pocket and on the move. Regardless of pressure, Vattiato keeps his eyes downfield and makes poised, calculated decisions in which he places balls in spots where only his receivers can grab.

Succeeding in Sunshine state could suggest he is underrated, and it has been said that he has been impressive at many camps at various locations. He would be a risky option if he were to be the only quarterback signee in the 2021 class, but it is obvious that Satterfield is interested in the dual-threat. Combine him with either of the two prospects about to be analyzed, and Louisville hits a grand slam.
