Louisville football lands biggest commit of Scott Satterfield era.

With the recently updated 247Sports 2021 prospect rankings, Illinois safety Ben Perry became Louisville football‘s first four-star commitment in the respective recruiting class. That is until the Cards landed linebacker Jaraye Williams on Saturday.

The son of former Louisville basketball star Terrence Williams, Jaraye is ranked as the 19th-best player at his position, and the 288th-best overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite. The four-star OLB also held offers from USC, Nebraska, Arizona State, Washington State, and others.

Williams has received a prospect grade of 90 (247Sports), which lands him in the top-25 list of highest-rated Louisville recruits of all-time.

On top of being highly ranked, additional hype surrounding Williams comes from being a legacy recruit. “T-Will” had a very successful collegiate career at Louisville and was well-liked by fans due to his extreme athleticism and contagious personality.

If his son possesses half of the athleticism that he had, Louisville fans will quickly draw to J-Will as well (start the nickname train now).

Make no mistake, Williams is a top 2021 football recruit for a reason and possesses tools to be a very good player and instant-impact guy for the Cardinals.

Let’s take a look at what he brings to the table.
