Former Cardinal comparison

For me, when I watch Bobby Pettiford’s highlights, I often get reminded of former Louisville great and NCAA Champion, Peyton Siva.

BPJ’s burst, acceleration, and speed are like that of Siva’s, and both are extremely athletic despite being undersized. I do believe that Pettiford will be a more distinguished scorer, but his vision and passing abilities aren’t very comparable to Siva’s.

While not being revered as knockdown shooters, both possess the ability to hit the deep ball.

Siva was known for his pesky defense and quick hands, and although he was a smarter defender that could see plays develop more effectively, Pettiford is equipped with most of the same tools.

Comparing him to Siva may be a tad bit rich to some, as Peyton is one of the most beloved Cardinals of all time, but Pettiford’s skillset mimics that of Siva’s. Will he get to that level? That is yet to be seen, but it is likely that Pettiford will have a very successful career in Louisville.
