Wing

Harrison Ingram

6’6, 210-pounds – Dallas, TX

The 6’6, 210-pound five-star forward is easily the number one target on the board for Louisville, and all signs to the Cards being in the thick of things to the very end with Stanford and Texas Tech, recently making his top 10 school list.

247 Sports describes him as having an “old man” type of game, and because of it he reminds me a ton of Jaylen Brown. He’s versatile, has great size and could just as easily play point guard full time instead of on the wing or as a combo forward. All things seem to point to Stanford but there’s reason to be optimistic+ after Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Corey Evans wrote that Louisville was one of a few schools who had a chance at him.

Aminu Mohammed

If Ingram is one on the big board, Aminu Mohammed is easily 1A for Chris Mack.

The Cardinals were in on Mohammed from the jump, and as we said on our first Big Board, Mohammed could be Louisville’s first true one-and-done type of player under Mack.

Here’s what Jerry Meyer of 247Sports has to say about Mohammed, who he likens to Justice Winslow:

"Not long for a wing but has a big, strong build. Can overwhelm opponents with strength and athleticism. Plays with great energy. Competes everywhere on the court. Good ball handler and passer. Scoring off the dribble is his greatest strength. Developing long range shooter. Quality rebounder and defender. Should develop into an first-round NBA draft choice."

Maryland appears to the favorite here, however, his one crystal ball prediction is from a Terp’s insider who projected him to the Cardinals back in March.

You never know in college basketball recruiting, and the Cardinals would love to land his services.

David Jones

6’6 195-pounds- Scott Depot, WV

Ingram and Mohammed are the high-profile players on the board for the Cardinals, but David Jones may be just as impactful of a recruit for Mack and co.

Earlier this week, we wrote about Jones and how, at 6’6, he is one of the more underrated guards in this 2021 class.

"Quietly, Jones has become one of the top targets on the wing for the Cards following an incredible junior season, one that the Teays Valley Christian School head coach classified as the “best season for any individual in program history,” where he averaged over 25 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals per game. Jones ranks right outside the consensus top 100 rankings for 2021 but holds offers from several prominent programs including Oregon and Maryland and is a player to watch for the Cards."

Landing Jones over the likes of Oregon, Cincinnati, and Maryland would be a huge boost for this class as he begins to soar up the recruiting rankings.
