Louisville football hopes to land these five players.

Things have been going swimmingly for the Louisville football program on the recruiting trail in the class of 2021.

For the Scott Satterfield and the Cardinals coaching staff, they are landing recruits that fit the Louisville football system early and often, and they continue to cultivate relationships with some of the nation’s top players.

In particular, Louisville football has been honing in on the defensive side of the ball where the staff is hoping to remedy some of the issues that plagued the Cardinals in the last three years.

There will be talent in 2020 and beyond, but the question is more about depth for defensive coordinators Bryan Brown and Cort Dennison.

So far, Louisville football has received commitments from 12 defensive players, highlighted by legacy linebacker Jaraye Williams, stud safety Benjamin Perry, and defensive end Victoine Brown.

Still, Louisville football is looking to add players who can help contribute right away in 2021, and there are a ton of big names on the board.

When the Cards get their next defensive commit, we hope it’s one of these five names.
