Perhaps the biggest commit yet for Louisville football.

Things could not be going much better for Louisville football during this recruiting cycle.

The Cardinals coaching staff has targeted talented players that fit their specific needs, and shown a good track record for being able to land the guys they are pursuing.

However, due to the nature of the depth chart for Louisville football, the majority of the players filling spots in this class have been on the defensive side of the ball.

We are beginning to see that change on the back half of the class. Louisville reeled in a surprise commit from four star running back Treveon Cooley last week. Now, the Cards’ coaching staff appear to have won one of the more intense individual recruiting battles of the class.

Ahmari Huggins-Bruce officially pledged to the Cards on Thursday after being considered a Virginia Tech lean for quite some time and then wavering back and forth between the two schools.

Ultimately, Louisville proved to Huggins that he was the guy for the staff and AHB pulled the trigger.

The Cardinals now have their potential centerpiece of the receiving core after Tutu Atwell departs in the next two seasons.

Read on to learn about what Huggins brings to the table for Louisville football.
