Three games where Louisville football could slip up.

The trap game. Perhaps the most over-used conversation piece for local media, fans, and talking heads throughout any season- But especially during college football. There are plenty of opportunities for any team to slip up and lose a game unexpectedly- Louisville football included.

When we look over the potential landscape of the Cardinals’ 2020 schedule, there are few things that we are certain of at this point. However, it seems like the most likely scenario that the power five conferences fight tooth and nail to keep their conference season. After all, that’s where the money is, and that is where most athletic departments hang their hats for an entire calendar year.

So, assuming that the 2020 conference games are still in play when you look at Louisville football’s schedule, there are a few match-ups that stand out as potential “traps.”

It might be overplayed, but given the momentum that the Cardinals are riding entering 2020 and the ebbs and flows of what should be a very unusual season, it’s at least worth an early conversation.
