If you haven’t heard by now, Louisville football is expected to have a red hot offense according to local and national media alike.

Why are so many bullish on this side of the ball for the cards? It could be all the talent returning, like freshman All-American and pre-season 2nd Team All-American running back Javian Hawkins who is looking to build off his insanely impressive 1,500 yard redshirt freshman campaign from last season.

Not one to be outshined, last year’s First-team All-ACC, PFF First-team All-American, AND this year’s preseason All-American Tutu Atwell is ready for another sizzling season. Coming off a terrific season going over 1,000 yards, Tutu is poised for a massive year at WR1 for Louisville.

Combine these two with a much improved Malik Cunningham and another very hungry and talented WR Dez Fitzpatrick, and I truly believe you have the recipe for massive yards on offense this season.

The confidence that continuity brings is amplified in a roller coaster year like this, where new coaches face the challenges of putting in their systems with limited time and player interaction. That bodes well for the Cards going into 20-21′ season.
