Louisville offense –  Finishing 15th in total offense

Jacob – Over (Will finish better than 15th)

This is going to be the most explosive Louisville football offense of my lifetime outside of the Lamar Jackson 2016/2017 teams.

With three potential Heisman candidates and one of the nation’s top big three’s, Micale Cunningham, Javian Hawkins, and Tutu Atwell are poised to break a ton of Louisville records this season.

Last year, which was the first under Scott Satterfield, the Cards finished 24th in total offense finishing with 5,812 yards of offensive production which averaged out to 447.3 yards per game. Although their offseason was filled with challenges, the time that the Cards got on the field during spring and during the latter parts of summer are going to allow for another big jump.

As mentioned, I expect more from Dez Fitzpatrick with similar production from all of the key cogs, and even more production from Justin Marshall, Ean Pfeifer, Corey Reed, Josh Johnson, Braden Smith, Hassan Hall and others.

This offense is going to be special but they’ll have to over going up against six defenses that finished in the top 50 in total defense last year. However, in the five matchups against defenses that ranked 84th and below, I expect to see big numbers.

Presley – Over (Will finish better than 15th)

It’s no secret that I am high on this Louisville offense in 2020, and it has a lot to do with the fact that the Cardinals are stacked at the skill positions.

Let’s not forget, however, that Louisville was rife with inconsistencies when facing longer defensive lines in 2019. That matters to me because the Cards still finished 24th in the nation in total offense.

If they don’t spend a quarter of plays going backwards in 2020, they should take yet another step towards becoming an elite offense.
