12 pm – 2015 Music City Bowl –  “A Star is Born”

With every legend comes a spark. A flutter of magic. The 2015 Music City Bowl was all that and more. It was a bold statement.

Lamar Jackson and the Cards gritted their way to a 7-5 record that season, losing their first 3 games by a combined 13 points to some tough competition (Auburn, Clemson, Houston). They entered the December 30th bowl game vs Texas A & M as 4-point underdogs.

Many across the nation had heard whispers of this somewhat mythical character, Lamar Jackson, but boy were they in for a treat on this particular night. He got loose in this one.

After a somewhat inconsistent statistical season for Jackson, he compiled 227 yards passing and 226 yards rushing, totaling 4 touchdowns in the game.

On perhaps his most impressive play of the evening, he scampered through tacklers and the secondary like a torpedo through a school of fish. Louisville came out on top 27-21 as Jackson iced the game on a quarterback keeper.
