Gaej Walker, RB

Walker had an outstanding season last year, rumbling for a team-leading 1,208 yards on 24 attempts, scoring 8 touchdowns along the way. His season total for yards was good enough for second in the conference.

One important thing to note about Walker is his strength through contact. Last season, he averaged five yards per carry, and at 6’0” 195 lbs, he’s not exactly a small guy. His attributes could give Louisville’s front line some trouble, especially should he get to the second level consistently, which is well within his repertoire.

Look for Louisville to follow a similar game plan as they did last year which was 100 percent focused on taking Walker out of the game.  With the addition of dual threat quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome, the backfield will become that much more dangerous and it’ll take a focused effort to keep the Tops from following the Kentucky game plan.

Last season Louisville held Walker 100 yards, an effort they’ll look to produce again on Saturday.
