Rattle Jeff Sims early

Jeff Sims is a young, talented freshman quarterback for Georgia Tech who has proven to be mistake prone through his young career. However, Florida State let him settle in to his very first start as a collegiate player and he made them pay.

Sims has three touchdowns to eight interceptions on the year including four picks in his latest game against Syracuse. After a 23-for-34 passing performance in week one, Sims has not completed over 50 percent in either of his two games since.

If the Cardinals defense wants to have a huge game, now would be the time. The defense has just one interception on the year. The defensive backs do not have an interception yet so they certainly should be licking their chops with an extra week to prepare for a freshman quarterback.

The key here could be the Cardinals mixing up coverages to confuse Sims. Sims is also a very good athlete for the position so players such as Monty Montgomery may need to spy him at times to keep him contained.

If the Cardinals throw some blitzes and different coverages at Sims, he could be very prone to mistakes against Louisville. At least, that is what Bryan Brown and company are hoping for.
