Hot take-ing it up for Louisville football’s trip to Georgia Tech.

Friday night at 7 pm, Louisville football (1-2) rolls into ATL for a showdown with the Yellow Jackets (1-2). The Cardinals need a win if they want to begin the climb to play out the season on a high note.

After dropping two losses in a row, Scott Satterfield’s squad hopes to bounce back on the road after a defensive debacle vs Miami followed by a squandered opportunity to steal a victory on the road vs Pitt last week.

Sitting at 5 1/2 point favorites, Louisville is poised for an advantageous matchup this weekend, as GT is still in a massive rebuild after a complete system changeover after the 2018 season. The Cards too are still rebuilding, but the initial learning curve Satterfield dealt with in his first season was far less drastic than current Tech coach Geoff Collins.

In the last meeting between the two, the Yellow Jackets swarmed the Cardinals 66-31 in an embarrassing defeat. Any way you flip it, Louisville is eager to have a good showing Friday night, even if to avenge that shellacking at home. In the slides ahead, we’ll break down our predictions for the game. It is only the second ever meeting between the two schools.
