Alan Thomas: Cards intercept two or more passes

This prediction is more about Louisville’s opponent than it is about the Cardinals themselves.

Yellow Jackets Freshman Quarterback Jeff Sims has thrown a mind-numbing eight interceptions in only three games this season, and no less than two in each game. Against Syracuse, he tossed a whopping four.

One might argue that this is the result of other teams bringing intense pressure to throttle the youngster, and that Louisville isn’t well-equipped to impose this sort of defensive tactic.

My inkling is that veteran defensive minds like Louisville’s Bryan Brown and Cort Dennison have been huddled up in the film room trying to figure out ways to exploit the first year gunslinger. This is another stat category where Louisville football is just simply due for a big day.

Look for Louisville’s secondary to have a field day out there.
