The Cards look to snap back-to-back losses in the series.

The last time Louisville football defeated Florida State was in 2017, Lamar Jackson’s final season as a Cardinal. The quarterback phenom rushed for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns and kicker Blanton Creque knocked the game-winning field goal through the uprights.

Since that season, Louisville football has been on a rollercoaster ride, hitting rock bottom in 2018 with a 2-10 record subsequently followed by peaking in their 2019 Music City Bowl victory over Mississippi State.

In 2018, Louisville was home free vs FSU before tossing an ill-advised interception late in the game, in which they would’ve had the outcome secured had they just ran the ball. Since then, the two programs have both undergone coaching changes.

This Saturday’s matchup has the Cardinals favored, but anything is possible between these two programs. In the slides ahead, I’ll break down each prediction and the why.
