Louisville football bounced back in a big way this past weekend. But what was different?

Louisville football finally picked up an ACC win this past Saturday when they defeated the Florida State Seminoles 48-16. That score is very representative of how much better the Cardinals felt than the Seminoles.

There were many reasons for this kind of explosion by the team after dropping four ACC contests in a row. The amount of new wrinkles and just getting back to what the team’s strengths are was a very positive sign for the Cardinals moving forward.

It is the first time since 2017 that the Cardinals have allowed less than 20 points to Power-5 opponents in back-to-back games. The defense looks competent for the first time since 2017. This one feels good to say. There is nothing more frustrating than watching a defense that has no clue what they are doing.

The offense started clicking on all cylinders like most expected out of this year which was very nice to see after a few weeks of trending the wrong direction. They looked explosive again and that was exactly what they needed to revive themselves.

The Cardinals did a lot of different things to succeed on Saturday to come out with a whopping 32-point game. So let’s go over some of those things that the Louisville personnel were doing right on offense and defense to allow such a convincing win to happen.
