The Cards have a chance to end the season on a high note.

The Louisville football team has not had the season that they expected as they are now seven games through the season in what seems like a flash. The Cardinals are 2-5 as they enter the home stretch of games on the slate.

We can all agree that the team has not lived up to the expectation that was set forth in the preseason. There have been shortcomings on both sides of the football in all of the losses. The team has not glued together the way many would have hoped (even in this “Covid year”).

Now, the Cardinals have four games remaining (all of which are against ACC foes). The last four opponents have a combined record of 12-16 through the course of their respective seasons. That sets up well for Louisville who is attempting to scrounge up some victories in what is generally looked at as a lost season.

There is a lot of reason to believe Louisville can finish this season strong barring anymore Covid outbreaks. It was reported that Louisville did practice on Sunday with no Covid positives among players or staff as they prepare for their game against Virginia. Fingers crossed.

If Louisville can pull out a couple of victories, it will not only bode well for the team; but, it will also be extremely beneficial for the staff as they turn to recruiting the rest of the 2021 class as well as getting a jump on 2022.

With all of that being said, let’s rank Louisville’s final four opponents from easiest to toughest win.
