F James Karnik

Karnik has been a rock solid contributor who is in his first season with the Eagles after transferring from Lehigh for his graduate year.

The 6’9″ forward is an old-fashioned big man that likes to get his work done in the low post. He is far from being a flashy, athletic freak that Louisville is used to seeing in the ACC. But he is a fundamentalist with a lot of tools he can use in the post game.

Karnik has been averaging over 10 points and 5 rebounds per game in 2020 after missing the first few games for Boston College while waiting to receiver a waiver for his eligibility.

He will be a solid contributor for the Eagles who lack size inside. Jae’Lyn Withers will likely draw this matchup and proving he can defend the low post will be of key importance in this game.

Karnik will get his in the paint. Louisville needs to keep him off of the glass and contain the new ACC face tomorrow to earn the win.
