G Jalen Cone

Jalen Cone is one of the best “little” scorers in the country. At just 5’10”, he is Virginia Tech’s biggest threat to score it from deep. Cone is another sophomore on a very young Hokies team.

Cone is not a big guy by any means. But the rise that he gets on his jump shot is unbelievable. You can see from the rise that he is a very gifted athlete. Really, his only limitation that he possesses is his size.

Most of his field goals come from beyond the arc and he truly is one of the best three-point shooters in the ACC.

He will likely be coming off of the bench, but a deadly three-point shooter will be very difficult for the Cardinals to stop on Wednesday evening. Just like any team needs a jack-of-all-trades like Radford, every team needs one valuable shooter they can rely on. That’s Cone.

He is young and has been getting hot the past few games scoring 18, 18, and 12 in the last three games.

Cone is a big-time difference maker for the Hokies.

Overall

Virginia Tech has a lot of pieces to work with that will give Louisville all they can handle. The three aforementioned players are all key members of a group that is young and hungry to stake their claim as ACC contenders and make a deep run into the NCAA tournament.

Louisville will have to be on their A-game to knock off the streaking Hokies on Wednesday.
