Power Forward: Jae’Lyn Withers

Jae’Lyn Withers is one that is cementing himself more and more as a player you simply cannot take out of the starting lineup. Withers has been showing his sky-high potential and it may not show up in every game. But you have got to see what this young man is doing in his first year of playing time.

There are serious glimmers of NBA talent with Withers that make you drop your jaw when he is running in transition or completely taking over the game on both ends of the floor for multi-minute spans. That is a rare ability that few players has. Withers has it.

If the Virginia Tech version of Jae’Lyn Withers shows himself more and more, he will start to solidify himself as one of the best youngsters in the ACC.

Withers is better suited for power forward where he is not forced into being the one man inside in the Chris Mack offense. His ability to put the ball on the floor with his size profile is too valuable to keep him locked inside.

Fans should be encouraged by Withers’s game-to-game development and should be convinced by now that he will be a starting piece heading in to March.
