Some folks may be overlooking just how good Carlik Jones has been during the 2020-21 season for Louisville basketball.

We’re talking about one of the most effective graduate transfers in school history. He might even be the best.

Among plenty of other accolades coming Jones’ way this season, he just set a new Louisville record coming off an 18-point performance against Notre Dame.

Jones hasn’t missed a beat since coming over as a grad transfer from Radford. While taking the large step up to ACC competition, he continues to show a level of consistency at guard that has paced Louisville throughout this season.

Averaging over 17 points per game, Jones is still in the thick of discussion for ACC Player of the Year honors this season. Even while sophomore counterpart David Johnson has shown inconsistencies, Jones has never faded away.

Sure, he has his times where his efficiency on offense dips. But his confidence never does. Jones proves time and time again to be a natural scorer of the basketball who will find ways to keep himself involved on the floor.

Don’t look for Jones to slow down anytime soon with the pace he is on.
