The past week has been a quiet one around the KFC Yum Center. Louisville’s men’s basketball program took a brief hiatus due to COVID concerns, which postponed the Kentucky game indefinitely. Fans have been anxiously waiting for news about when the team would be able to return to action.

The return was Sunday afternoon when the Cards completed their first practice since the COVID shutdown.

Louisville is scheduled to play Wake Forest on Wednesday night at home at 8:00 pm. If the Cards are able to dress the ACC’s required minimum of seven healthy players, they should be able to take the court against Wake Forest. Let’s be honest, no matter the circumstances Louisville needs a win in the worst way.

There are so many variables up in the air that make this enter pause fluid as you might as well assume. All Louisville basketball fans can do is watch and see if the Cards are able to field a team to trudge through turbulent times.
